Step out of the noise of everyday life for a moment,

and follow us into a joint space. A space where music draws us closer to each other, and we connect through stories. Stories that speak to what it means to be human: belonging and loneliness, hope and action, love, doubt, and the belief that we can make a difference - for each other and for the world we live in.

VoA - Voices of Aarhus is an ambitious contemporary a cappella choir bringing together 32 outstanding singers from the Danish choral scene. Every voice and every piece of music is chosen with intention, from a desire to create performances that resonate deeply and stay with you.

At a VoA concert, the delicate stands alongside the powerful. The repertoire moves from Nordic roots to international works and original compositions written especially for the choir. At its core is a commitment to music with something at stake: vivid storytelling, warm harmonies, infectious rhythm, and a profound love of the small melodic details that give the music life and soul.

Founded in November 2025, VoA is led by internationally acclaimed conductor, arranger, and composer Tine Fris-Ronsfeld. The choir also serves as a creative greenhouse for emerging arrangers and singers, playing an active role in the development of the rhythmic choir scene in Denmark.

Tine Fris-Ronsfeld

Tine Fris-Ronsfeld is a prominent figure in the international choral scene, working as a singer, composer, arranger, author, publisher, and conductor. She is widely recognized for her work with the experimental vocal ensemble Postyr and the award-winning a cappella choir Vocal Line, which was crowned Eurovision Choir of the Year in 2019. As a professional singer and conductor, Tine has performed on major stages and at prestigious festivals worldwide.

Tine holds a soloist degree in Rhythmic Choral Conducting, as well as a Master’s degree in Singing and Vocal Pedagogy from the RAMA Vocal Center (The Royal Academy of Music, Denmark). With more than 20 years of experience, Tine has led over 1,000 workshops, coaching sessions, and masterclasses at all levels—from professional ensembles to children’s choirs. She has shared her music and teaching philosophy at leading conferences and festivals across Europe, the USA, and Asia, including the World Symposium on Choral Music.

In addition to her work as a performer and educator, Tine arranges and composes for top-tier international choirs. She serves as a guest lecturer and external examiner at music academies both in Denmark and abroad and is frequently invited to join juries at leading international choral competitions.

Together with Kristoffer Fynbo Thorning, Tine has published several books on "icebreakers" and choral warm-ups. She regularly publishes her arrangements through leading Danish and international publishers, making them available to choirs and vocal ensembles worldwide.

Tine serves as the Artistic Director of the German Music Council’s (Deutscher Musikrat) Vocal Jazz Symposium and is the Chair of Aarhus Vocal Festival (AAVF). She is also an active member of international choral organizations, including CASA (The Contemporary A Cappella Society of America), the Leading Voices Music Commission, Vocal Asia, and the "SingTank" think tank under the European Choral Association.

Previously, Tine conducted the choir Lyt and the Danish national youth choir Syng Selected, with whom she won numerous international awards and competitions. Furthermore, she served as co-conductor and arranger for Vocal Line.

Most importantly, Tine is passionate about choral music and believes that communication and presence must go hand in hand with strong musical craftsmanship.
